SEWeb – Rainfall Observers
An online portal for storing and viewing rainfall data
Scottish Environment Protection Agency
visit siteSEPA work in partnership with the Met Office to oversee a network of volunteer rainfall observers spread across Scotland. Scotland has a very complex and variable climate and our understanding of it is increasing all the time thanks to observers taking part in this and similar schemes; a tradition that goes back as far as the 17th Century.
The Rainfall Observers scheme is open to any person, school or organisation that observes rainfall or wants to start rainfall observing. Simply register and then start entering your data. It makes a great, educational project to run with school children!

Simply sign up from the website and register the location that you will be recording rainfall data at. Once your registration has been confirmed you’ll be all set to start adding your rainfall data and contributing towards a major citizen science initiative that has genuine scientific outputs.
